Role in the project: Terna brings the expertise and the insights of the TSO in the project. It is especially committed in the the workpackage devoted to the development of the orchestrator Platform, the Crowd Balancing platform, whose innovative functionalities will be tested in the Rome Demo, where Terna is one of the demo participants. Additionally, Terna will lead testing activities on EVs and EVSEs in its E-mobility Lab.

Terna S.p.A. is the owner of the Italian national transmission grid for high and extra-high voltage power and is the largest independent electricity transmission system operator (TSO) in Europe. Terna is responsible for planning, developing and maintaining the national transmission grid, bringing together expertise, technology and innovation to optimise high voltage electricity transmission. In operating the electricity system, Terna ensures the dispatching of energy flows through the grid, managing and balancing power supply and demand 24 hours a day throughout Italy.

Technical validation and market scalability of EV-grid flexibility services
